New! Matching Bustles for your corsets

November 8th, 2011

I’ve been busy making Bustles – pretty ones for outer wear – some with matching cinchers and corsets. Great for your Steam Punk wardrobe – if you can wear your corset on the outside, why not your bustle? Take a look!

New priceing starts July1st

June 3rd, 2011

Those of you with sharp eyes will notice a few changes. I have had to raise some, not all, of the prices on corset supplies – first time in 12 yrs!
Even though they are on the web page, they will not take effect until July 1st., just because I hate to do this and I like my clients! Pricing for custom work will remain about the same. I bid each project according to the details – contact me for your bid.
Happy corset making!

Coming Soon! Web page update

May 10th, 2011

Yes, soon there will be updates to my web page. Not everything, as it is pretty cool as it is, but the time has come to deal with the corset supply section. It has not been a good couple of years for coset supplies! Many suppliers have closed, and new ones are hard to find. And, unfortunatly, some prices must go up. I’ve put it off as long as possible. I’m sure my web mistress thinks I”ve fallen off the edge of the world. The good news is, bones are staying the same price. So thanks for your patience and your patronage – I always try to get your orders shipped as soon as I receive them – usually the next day. And, if you are in the Seattle area, you can pick up your supplies at my studio – by appointment! (call ahead please) Thanks so much and Happy corset making!

I”m such a bad Blogger!

January 19th, 2011

Oh, I know it has been forever since I posted! Many appologies. My only excuse is that I have been busy. Many corsets have been made, and when all is said and done, I really like sewing more than writing. There were also the traditional January projects such a closing the books for 2010 – I’m happy to anounce that last year’s business was up a bit over twenty percent. That translates into alot of corsets. I know, you would rather see the pretty pictures – soon – I promise – I am also behind in sorting my photos. And, I am still working the bugs out of the new computer. So stay tunned, there will be web page updates soon, and I’m working on some new corset designs…. and looking forward to a great year – Happy New Year to you all.

Steamcon II Fashion Show – Sneak Preview

October 27th, 2010

Well, It has been a long time! Lots of things have been happening, most of them involving bathroom construction. But all that is over, and I’m busy preparing for a fashion show at Steamcon II – in Nov. here in Seattle. So I thought I’d give you a little preview of some of the the corsets going into the show. This is a colaboration with Tamara Lily, and we are showing under the name Coutu-Re-Formation. I”ll have more on this as things progress and there are more photos.

Summer Corsets

September 2nd, 2010

Even though it has been crazy around here with the consturction on our bathroom, I have been busy – here are a few examples of this summer’s work.

Open During Construction!

June 22nd, 2010

Hello Everyone, I didn’t think I would ever need to use these words! But, yes, the time has come, and we are having our bathroom re-modeled – from the studs out. But, I”m still working on your corsets, and other than it is reather facinating to see what is under the walls on our 103 yr. old house, I’m getting work done and seeing clients as usual. Sorry for the long gap with no posts, but I’ll soon have the review of my trip to New York to see the Costume displays at the Met, Brooklyn Museum, and FIT. Great stuff.
Wish us good luck and a minimum of rot…

Antique Brass Grommets

May 26th, 2010

Just wanted to let you know that the Antique Brass two piece grommets are back in stock – they blend in well with Browns and Reds – or contrast with black. Very useful, and good for the Steam Punk look. (1.00per dz, 10.00per gross)
